Affiliate Marketing Success Guide: Increase Traffic

Affiliate marketing has gained in popularity recently – most likely this is due to the economy taking a bit out of everybody’s pot of gold. With so many people out there competing to sell the same products, it makes it even more essential that your site gains as much traffic as possible. Here I’m going to share with you what I did to get my traffic increasing. As I result, I sold more products in the last quarter than I did in my first two years in internet marketing.

Domain name:
Select a domain name that uses your main keyword or phrase that is related to the topic of your site. Keep the name short and something that is memorable.

Site:
Use a simple site template and do what you can to use a blog. A blog provides many opportunities to build traffic as there are so many long-tail keywords that can help you with traffic.

Get to Know Your Niche:
The best way that you can sell to your clients is by being the expert. You really need to know how to solve many issues that your potential clients might have. Go the extra yard and help them out. You will only gain from this with your income.

Affiliate Products:
Select the products that you know will sell. The more time you spend in your niche reading, learning and interacting with people, the better you will become at this. You’ll understand what it is that people want.

Build one-way Links:
Learning about keywords and how to use them is an essential internet marketing skill. Not only can you gain traffic from long tail keyword marketing but also from shorter keywords if you build one way links and use anchor text.

Understand Google:
Yes, there are other search engines beyond Google. However, it is currently the most used search engine and so can give you the best return on investment. Learn all that you can about Google, what it likes and how it operates. Then do all that you can to tweak your site so that Google likes it. Getting a top listing will mean that you get a bigger income.

Study your Successful Competition:
Look to see where they are advertising, how they are advertising and how their site is built. Once you see something that works, then it’s an opportunity to model it and gain some of your own  success.
