Long tail brand promotion could be one of the best friends of an Internet marketer, if they know how to use it properly.

Basically, long tail brand promotion uses special keywords and phrases on your website that potential buyers might use as search terms to find what they are searching for. They are the niche terms that will bring the most dedicated-to-purchase web surfers to your site. We will explore some specifics to give you a better idea.

Imagine you own an online flower shop. You can ship flowers all over the country, and you have your shiny new website living on a new server to handle the waves of traffic, and you are ready for the orders to start rolling in. But it is not that easy.

When someone searches for “send flowers,” what happens? Here are five questions to ask a potential SEO consulting firm before you hire them.

1) What has your success rate been with other clients? Reputation is one of the most reliable factors in regards to service. If an SEO consulting firm has been great to 10 clients, they will usually be great to 20, 50, or 100. It is better to trust results from previous clients and their successes. If an SEO consulting firm is willing to offer testimonials from previous clients, they are confident in their abilities.

I ensure that all my blog posts are optimized for the search engines. This way, they have got more chance of being discovered by new potential clients as they search the web for answers to their questions.

Again, I like to answer questions that my readers have. I feel that then I am giving them a helping hand to progress with their business in the same way that people gave me a hand. With business it’s often more beneficial to give something for free before your customers feel as though they want to make a purchase from you. That’s why market stall holders often allow people to taste their produce before purchasing. They are relying on the fact that once people have tried it, they will want it.

My last share on a free technique to market your business is to use social networking. Not only is this a great way to develop relationships with people all over the world who may turn out to be your paying customers, it is a way to get some links to your site.

Some very hard core style marketers use spamming techniques to market their products. I have not witnessed this having a positive result. I prefer to build relationships and give value and I know that this works for me and many of my online marketing peers.
